NEWS
The group has several new members this year who will be exhibiting as Provisional members with us at shows and at the gallery including Lizzie Weir, who produces intricate framed textile pieces with masses of detail, bold and colourful woodcut prints by Nat Morley inspired by nature and animals, and tactile and useful hand felted scarves by Cheryl Cracknell.
We have also been rejoined this year by Chris Fincher, furniture maker and woodworker inspired by the Arts and Crafts style, and Lyn Clarke who produces beautiful hand painted silk scarves and wall hangings.
Although our membership is strong, we are always looking for new members, particularly in traditional crafts. We would be especially interested in any metal workers or blacksmiths.
OTHER NEWS
We are celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2010 and not 2008 as announced last year. This gives us time to organise a major celebration, so keep a look out for further information.
