Sadly, this year we are losing two of our longest serving members. David Beck, our basket maker and chair re-seater, has finally decided to take a much-earnt rest and is retiring from the group after many years of working hard at both his craft and at keeping the group running. Sandra Stafford, maker of her ever popular hand-loomed scarves, is putting aside the loom and is off to York to try her hand at new skills. We will all miss them both very much and wish them all the very best in their new futures.
We will, of course, have a number of new members showing with us this year, including Fiona Sands who uses her exquisite lampwork glass beads to create wonderful jewellery, Philippa Day who creates scrumptious handbags and purses from luxurious fabrics and Paul Hannaby who produces wonderful items turned mainly in wood but also uses other interesting materials. We are still interested to hear from any new makers, particularly metal workers, stone carvers and basket makers!

The
Cotswold Craftsmen Gallery opened in April ’05 Market
Street, Nailsworth Map
It has been warmly received as a venue which provides a year
round opportunity to see and buy work from an everchanging selection
of members work.
The gallery is now entering into its fith year and continues to be well received by visitors and well supported by members.
The gallery
will be manned by the makers as usual so if you would like to
meet up with a particular maker to discuss work or possible
commissions, call into the gallery to see the rota list, email
us or contact Hazel Morris on the number below.

The Market Street Gallery downstairs will continue to show the paintings of Nick Handover. New work will be on display for sale soon.
